The accessible Farmhouse added two main level bedrooms and a full storage basement to the century home. The newest addition to the Jordan, MN farmhouse improves mobility and accessibility of the home for the two residents. The main level bedrooms have no doors to promote ease of movement. Durable custom shelving was added to the basement for easier storage and organization for their home business. Finishes were chosen to match the existing home and included custom ordered siding and color matching existing paint colors. The addition was designed and drafted by in-house architect Matt Dolan RA NCARB CPHC. Construction was managed by Tom Wilmes CPHB and Owner of ACE Design Build.
We contacted ACE Design Build about adding a two bedroom addition with full basement to our old farm house. They were very prompt getting back to us to discuss the project and helped with many suggestions and ideas as to what would work best for our project. We were given multiple choices of design plans, that helped to see what options were available. We were very happy with the quality of the work. They were so helpful with choices of paint, windows, doors and trim. They were really easy to work with and any questions we had were always answered and we were always aware of the schedule of the work. They took care of all other details including permits and coordinated the inspections. Tom took extra effort to match the old house, the siding and shingles matched perfectly. They are a very professional full service team, and we are SO GLAD we found them, we would use them again if we have another project. We are enjoying our new spaces very much!
